Harrods Organic Milk – London

Somerset-based Ivy House Farm Dairy produce organic, pasteurised, semi-skimmed milk for Harrods to package in this 750ml (that’s 1.3 pints, as the graphic on the back of the bottle helpfully informs me) sized bottle. The bottle itself has a different feel when compared with other bottles in our collection. It feels as if the glass is thinner, and when one taps one’s nails against the glass, it has a different ring and an almost plastic quality. Perhaps because Harrods is not offering re-use of the bottle?

Now Harrods being Harrods, you probably expect this bottle of semi-skimmed milk to cost the same as a small family car. However, you’d be wrong. The Harrods Milk from Ivy House Farm Dairy is (at the time of writing) the cheapest bottle we have ever seen!
