Low Sizergh Barn – Cumbria

Milk churns like the one featured on this bottle of organic, unpasteurised raw whole milk from Low Sizergh Barn were often called a ‘Milk Kit’ in Yorkshire. However, Sizergh isn’t in Yorkshire, it is in Cumbria, four miles west of Kendal. So, milk churn it is then.

Low Sizergh Barn has a farm shop, café and should you need somewhere to camp while enjoying the lovely lake district it even offers camping facilities. Nearby the rather fabulous Sizergh Castle is open to the public and is certainly worth a visit. The property is cared for by the National Trust and is open most days. The property has been in the same family for over seven hundred years and is full of fascinating stories.
