Hollis Mead Organic Dairy, Dorset

We acquired this rather lovely bottle from a vending machine in the market town of Sherbourne in Northwest Dorset. The milk comes from Urless Farm in Corscombe, Dorchester, where the cows are fed exclusively on grass. Milking takes place once a day, and the milk is then gently pasteurised before whizzing its way to a vending machine in preparation for us to drink. Everything about Hollis Mead Dairy is refreshingly excellent, from their commitment to using no pesticides or artificial fertilisers to their bug friendly attitude towards farming and, of course, the whole reason we are here, the thick and creamy, nutrient-rich milk. A bottle of organic yumminess!
