Cornish Moo – Cornwall
Cornish Moo is another favourite. With its smart, modern design and tagline of ‘It’s just milk’, this is one of the cleanest designs I have seen. If your curiosity isn’t satisfied, spin the bottle, and you will learn that the milk is fresh, whole and gently pasteurised but not homogenised. The girls who produce the milk are of the Holstein variety and graze on the lush Cornish grass growing in the farm’s pastures.
0.7 miles to the north of the farm stands the church of St Paternus. Its north aisle dates back to the Norman period, and other wooden items within the church, including a communion rail (a barrier that separates the altar from the nave), date back to 1685.
A further 0.2 miles away, to the north of the church, you will find St Paternus’s Well, which is believed to date to the 6th century and is thought to be the deepest well in Cornwall. (Access by footpath to Barton Millennium Wood from outside the churchyard.)
